Info Cleanup, Hall of Shame, Unbans, Bantime Reductions
1st)some info has been made more clear, some guides re-written and some old stuff removed. Information forum (
viewforum.php?f=13 ) should be more accessible now.
There were no rule changes, just re-phrasing and
cleaning up threads.
2nd)A new subforum has been created for all ban information:
"Hall of Shame / Public Records" (
http://www.soldatgather.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=37 )
It holds all public information ("public records") about the people that are currently banned from #soldat.gather, including all the rules they have broken in the past - as far as we know - and the ban times they have received as punishment, including the date they will be unbanned.
This was done to make it more transparent for everybody, and to possibly encourage people to stop making the same mistakes again and again, increasing their ban time by huge chunks in the process..3rd)Unbans: The following people have been
unbanned as of 11/APR/2012, because they have not broken any more rules since the last unbans (24/JUL/2011), and the ban time has run out:
4th)Ban Time Reductions: The following people have had their
ban time reduced by 50% as of 11/APR/2012, because they have not broken any more rules since the last unbans (24/JUL/2011):
the ban times are currently being updated on the bot, i.e. ban times will soon show up when trying to add (e.g. "you are banned until 04.07.2012"), and will be removed automatically when the time is up.note due to popular demand: "d" = "days" ...

5th)In the future, we will do the following things to make things better in general:
1. keep public records of broken rules and punishments (ban times) up to date (as best we can)
2. have a round of "ban time review" (like what we did just now) every couple of months (3 to 6, or at least once a year).
During this, the ban times will be reduced for those people who did not break the rules since the last round of review.- it will NOT be 50% reduction every time, though
- the next round of review is scheduled for the "anniversary" of the first amnesty/unban, i.e.
