the first 24 to sign up will get to play, if we get less than 10 people in i'm gonna do a dm triathlon cup (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=317) and with like 14-20 people i'm gonna do a smaller ctf cup (example: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=333)

REMEMBER
we are not aiming for this cup to be anything dead serious, we demand a relaxed atmosphere between all participants at all times. this also includes respecting your fellow participants, do NOT be late because it's fucking annoying. i couldn't highlight it enough that there is going to be a certain chance that you will end up in a team that you don't like due to various factors. if this possibility bothers you, then i can't but encourage you to NOT SIGN UP. we will not tolerate any kind of flaming or hate towards other players. if we find your behaviour inappropriate it will have a direct effect on your status on #soldat.gather.

RULES
-we play a knockout cup with 8 teams of 3 people
-sctfl freeplay rules apply for matches. red team picks first map, blue team picks second map, rotten is the tiebreaker. IF the match remains tied after rotten, a sudden death round will be played on guardian (first cap wins)
-guardian can be picked as a regular map, although it's a tiebreaker map, HOWEVER ROTTEN CAN NOT

-don't complain about lag when playing against people of other continents. soldat is a heavily international game which means that you will have to be able to tolerate lag if you ever want to really play it. our general aim here is to let anyone play

-minigun is allowed, but if a minigunner is asked to change his weapon it would be most appropriate to do so considered the nature of the cup, am i right?

-if you're banned from #soldat.gather or the bot, you cannot participate

-do not beg for voice please because it's damn annoying

REWARDS
members of the winning team get to pick a custom nick to appear on the bot when they play. it may consist of
-2-20 characters
-bold text (no underlining or background coloring)
-directly taking other people's nicks not allowed (poop not allowed while poop_sucks is allowed)
-each character of the name may be colored individually
the running-up team may pick a color in a similar way for their nick but just one color
